Singapore: Local Sales Of Light Bulbs To Meet Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Since 2023
Aug 02, 2018

Recently, the National Environment Agency of Singapore announced that from 2023, all locally sold bulbs will meet the minimum energy-saving standards, at least as energy-efficient as LED bulbs.

At the same time, the Environment Bureau will also raise the "Minimum Energy Performance Standards" (MEPS) for light bulbs, phase out halogen bulbs, and encourage consumers to use more energy-efficient bulbs. It is reported that this will save 3.5 million yuan of electricity for local families every year. Lucky lighting production is not only of good quality, but also special price.

In addition, the Environment Bureau will expand the Mandatory Energy Labelling Scheme (MELS) and require local media to display the energy label of the product when promoting electrical products.
