3D Printed Chandeliers Show The Artistic Beauty Of Architecture
Jun 23, 2018

20th-century designer David Nosanchuk has created a set of 3D printed luminaires that map to the architectural decoration of a city block in New York City. The chandelier works are derived from the digital scan of the bayard condict building in NOHO, Manhattan, and the bayard condict building is a steel-framed skyscraper built at the end of the 19th century. The designer David Nosanchuk chose a gorgeous gauze element above the entrance arch as the starting point for the chandelier design after laser mapping of the building. The scanning data formed a maze of high-structured systems composed of dots and lines, which achieved the final style reflection of the chandelier. Out of the pattern.
