LED dead lights are mainly due to the following two reasons:

1) Excessive leakage current of the LED causes the PN junction to fail, making the LED light point not bright. This situation generally does not affect the operation of other LED lights.

2) The disconnection of the internal connection leads of the LED lamp causes the LED to pass through without generating a dead lamp, which will affect the normal operation of other LED lamps.

Prevention of death

Static electricity is a devil that causes great harm to LED lamps. Countless electronic components in the world due to static electricity have caused tens of millions of dollars in economic losses. Therefore, it is an important task for the electronics industry to prevent static electricity from damaging electronic components. Enterprises of LED packaging and application must not take it lightly. Any problem in one of the links will cause damage to the LED, which will deteriorate or even degrade the LED performance. We know that the static electricity of the human body (ESD) can reach about 3,000 volts, which is enough to break down the LED chip. It is also very important that the grounding resistance of various equipment meets the requirements in the LED packaging production line. Generally, the grounding resistance is 4 Ohms, even if the requirements are high, the grounding resistance must reach ≤2 ohms.

The human body's electrostatic damage to the LED is also very large, work should wear anti-static clothing, equipped with electrostatic ring, electrostatic ring should be well grounded, there is a need to ground the static ring anti-static effect is not good, it is recommended not to use Such products, if the staff violates the operating procedures, should receive corresponding warning education and also serve as a notice to others. The amount of static electricity in the human body is related to the different fabrics people wear and the physique of each person. In autumn and winter nights, when we undress, we can easily see the discharge between clothes. The voltage of this electrostatic discharge is 3,000 volts.
